Rolston String Quartet 

Join your friends and enjoy a program of great music in a totally casual, totally sociable venue! To quote the Toronto Star, the Rolston String Quartet “…already belongs to a generation of string players performing at a level difficult to imagine in generations past.” In 2017, the RSQ received the prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award for the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons. Last winter, the recital tour that was included in their award took them to Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, and to Philadelphia, Houston, and other major centres. The ensemble formed in 2013 at the Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity’s Chamber Music Residency. In 2016, the RSQ won first prize in the Banff International String Quartet Competition, the grand prize in the Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition, and received prizes at the M-Prize and Bordeaux international competitions.
