About
Toronto Summer Music (TSM) is a Festival and an Academy that serves to enrich lives within our community through the shared appreciation of music. With a two-fold, interconnected mission, we programme a Festival with world-renowned artists, and we operate an Academy that offers high-level training and performance opportunities for emerging musicians as well as adult amateurs. Through these two channels, we actively promote engagement between musicians and their audiences.

The Folks Behind It All
2024 is the eighth season with Canadian violinist Jonathan Crow at the helm in the role of TSM’s Artistic Director. Prior to his appointment as Artistic Director in 2016, Crow was well known to TSM audiences and artists; he had mentored young musicians in the TSM Academy and performed as a guest artist in numerous TSM concerts for numerous years. A native of Prince George, British Columbia, Jonathan currently resides in Toronto where he has served as Concertmaster of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra since 2011.
