The Fairy’s Kiss, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ice Maiden, is Stravinsky’s homage to Tchaikovsky, blending the composer’s early works into a beautifully romantic interpretation. Pulcinella, a hallmark of Stravinsky’s neoclassical phase, reinvents Baroque melodies with vibrant rhythms and harmonies, drawing on the 17th-century Italian commedia dell’arte.
This night is a celebration of Stravinsky’s legacy and a journey through musical history with Kelly-Marie Murphy’s Curiosity, Genius, and the Search for Petula Clark — a unique blend of classical orchestration with rock and pop elements.
