Classical music lovers have been waiting a lot of time for this. You’ll hear a song cycle by Jake Heggie based on poetry by Margaret Atwood for its Toronto premiere at Roy Thomson Hall. One night only on Feb. 11, 2023, at 8 pm, the cycle will feature baritone Joshua Hopkins, backed by the incredible National Arts Centre Orchestra. Bookending the concert are Faust-Overture by Emilie Mayer and Brahms’s violently impassioned Symphony No. 4.
