Get out and enjoy the end of summer weather with an intimate concert from Polaris Prize-winning artist Jeremy Dutcher. His work playfully integrates classical influences with traditional songs of his Wolastoqiyik Nation people from the Tobique First Nation of New Brunswick. This is a sure bet this week. BBC Proms continues this week with Russian pianist Pavel Kolesnikov and Honens Laureate playing Bach’s Goldberg Variations for solo piano. We last heard Pavel in Toronto, a recital in 2016 for WMCT, and we hope he comes back soon. Until then, we’ll settle for a relaxing livestream of the Goldberg on BBC Radio 3. | Details

Orchestra Toronto | Strings and Gelato: A Fundraising Recital & Ice Cream Social

Kindred Spirits Orchestra | Shostakovich 14th Symphony

A touching ode to 9/11, the Kindred Spirits Orchestra performs two of classical music’s most moving symphonies: Arvo Pärt’s Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 14.
