COFFEE BREAK | A New Video From Canzona Baroque Choir Is Just What We Needed Today

By Michael Vincent on May 13, 2021

Canzona

For those of us in Ontario, you’ll have heard by now Premier Doug Ford has extended the stay-at-home order until at least June 2.

It’s moments like these that we take a deep breath.

And speaking of deep breaths, here’s a new video from Winnipeg’s premier Baroque choir Canzona.

The choir sings Bach motet, “Lobet den Herrn” from locations around Winnipeg, Manitoba.

This is how they describe it:

This Bach motet is about praising from all corners of the earth. It’s about all people coming together throughout the world and throughout the ages. This film, beautifully crafted by Winnipeg’s own Tyler Funk, brings Baroque music to the streets of Winnipeg and shows our singers, spaced all over the city, joining together to sing “Lobet den Herrn.”
