The Australian-based church C3 has purchased the popular Rehearsal Factory’s Geary Avenue location.

The church will encompass 322 and 330 Geary Avenue for a combined 36,150 square feet, or 7 acres of land near the corner of Dupont and Dufferin.

“We envision a multi-purpose, sacred space that will become a hub for worship, training, serving, creating, and welcoming in the people of Toronto.”

The two phase building project will include multipurpose rooms, washrooms and C3 Kids spaces, and an auditorium for up to 1,500 people.

According to the C3 website, the project will start with 322 Geary Avenue first, and they will lease the 330 address to help offset the cost of the spaces during our first phase of work.

Rehearsal Factory has yet to announce the sale of the rehearsal venue, or state what will happen to the many musicians who use the space for music.

Rehearsal Factory also operates locations in Etobicoke, Hamilton, Mississauga, Oshawa, two other sites in Toronto (Front and Richmond).

Growing fast

The church has over 500 locations around the world. Similar to Hillsong, C3 is a personality-based evangelical church that delivers informal worship services directed at the under 30 demographic.
