By Michael Vincent on April 6, 2021

Toronto’s Opera Atelier has just released a fascinating behind the scenes documentary about their experience trying to put on the production of Handel’s The Resurrection during the pandemic lockdowns.

The Making of The Resurrection is a 23-minute film by Marcel Canzona, and includes candid interviews and footage of Opera Atelier’s creative team as they work within the challenges of producing the opera under Ontario’s COVID-19 protocols.

Rich with sincerity and humour, this “resurrection of The Resurrection” is a must-see for any opera lover:

Handel’s The Resurrection is set to premiere online, May 27, 2021. Details here.
