Canadian Soprano Measha Brueggergosman has released a moving tribute on her Facebook page lamenting the tragedy of the shooting rampage in Portapique, Nova Scotia, where 23 innocent people have lost their lives.

“I want to sing to anyone under the sound of my voice who needs to be comforted in the shadow of this outrageous tragedy,” narrates Brueggergosman. “…Let our loss of innocence lead to a new depth of wisdom. And let this present darkness expose a light that will guide us back to the joy that comes from the privilege of living in one of the most gorgeous places on earth.”

Our thoughts and prayers to the victims of this senseless tragedy.
