An Evening With Ludwig Van – Come Watch An Opera With Us

By Michael Vincent on January 6, 2020

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of a special invite just for you.

BREAKING NEWS: It’s 2020, and we’ve spent the last few weeks reflecting on how lucky we are for the 100,000+ monthly classical music lovers who have made Ludwig Van Canada’s largest classical music publication.

We want to thank you for it — but it has to be sincere.

Should we send you a balloon? A piece of Mozart cake?

We know you like opera, and a night out with good company would be fun.

The solution is clear – let’s meet-up and watch an opera together.

Our very first An Evening with Ludwig Van will take place in both Toronto and Montréal on Saturday, January 25 at 5 pm. This is a chance for you to see an opera for free alongside good friends who love classical music as much as you do

Here’s why attending will be worth your while:

1: You’ll get to see an exclusive Encore screening of the 2020 Metropolitan Opera production of Madama Butterfly by Puccini. You’ll get to see Hui He star as Cio-Cio-San, the devoted geisha who gives everything for the American naval officer Pinkerton, sung by Bruce Sledge. Elizabeth DeShong is her devoted companion Suzuki, and Paulo Szot singing Sharpless. Pier Giorgio Morandi conducts Anthony Minghella’s beautiful, atmospheric production.

2: You’ll be able to meet the faces behind the pens, and meet each other too.

3: It’s free. (you’ll just need to pay for your popcorn)

Every one of you is a little bit of wind in the sails of our pirate ship. From me and the rest of the team at Ludwig Van – thank you, thank you, thank you.

See you on the 25th!
