GIVEAWAY | Win 2 Tickets To See Esprit Orchestra North/White

By Ludwig Van on November 16, 2018

Esprit Orchestra plays Koerner Hall on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 —  enter now for a chance to see them free, on us!

Courtesy of the Esprit Orchestra, we’re giving away two tickets to see North/White on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. at Koerner Hall.

In North/White, a snowmobile in the percussion section is counterbalanced by Schafer’s sonic portrayal of the mythic, splendid, indestructible idea of North — spacious, pure, temptationless. Louie’s Take the Dog Seed captures the joy, tenderness and energy of life in the arctic, the mystical quality of the land and the humour of the Inuit through its embrace of original throat songs by a Western instrumental ensemble. Thorvaldsdottir’s Dreaming, a refined, meditative, richly detailed musical embroidery, is like a mysterious shifting landscape bringing time to a halt — like in dreams.

Full concert details found here.

The contest will run one week until Friday, Nov. 23, 5 p.m. Winners will be chosen at random and contacted via email with details.
