Meet Your New Ludwig van Toronto

By Michael Vincent on September 14, 2017

It’s been nearly 4 years, and we’re just getting started…

I know what you’re thinking – no you’re not in the wrong place, and no, Musical Toronto hasn’t been acquired. Nor have we sold our souls to Bay Street. Instead, we’ve evolved. Welcome to your new Ludwig van Toronto.

As you can see, we did a bit of redecorating to the site. We’ve also extended our network into other Canadian cities, the first of which is Montreal. We will be adding more as we go, and are open to suggestions. While our scope is wider, we remain committed to keeping the conversations about classical music going in Toronto, just on a bigger scale.

We have made it our mandate to connect our classical music community and make it better. Whether that’s asking some difficult questions, or celebrating the issues and events that you believe in, we won’t stop until you’ve been heard. It is our community that matters. You are what defines it.

Alongside the launch of our new name and a new brand, we’ve got a fresh new website. We know some readers loved the old design, but we also know many of you didn’t, and we heard both sides and have come up with a good compromise.

While this is a lot of change all at once, rest assured we are the same feisty site that we’ve always been. We aren’t here to be a place to just read about all the events happening around town. We want this to be a hub for all things classical in Toronto, including news, features, reviews, and commentary.

We are not here to cover what matters to us. We are here to cover what matters to you! We’re run by locals for locals, and we’re here to push the boundaries, have some fun along the way – and more importantly, celebrate our community.

I’d love to hear your questions, feedback and suggestions on Ludwig Van. Contact me at michael@ludwig-van.com
