COFFEE BREAK | Remembering Rob Ford And The Opera That He Inspired

By Ludwig Van on March 22, 2016

With today’s somber news that former Toronto mayor Rob Ford has died at the age of 46, we bring you something to remember him by – an aria from Rob Ford, The Opera.

While Rob Ford never got to see the opera that he inspired back in 2012, it’s also very likely he did not know his Puccini from his Linguini. He was a colourful man with a personality as big as his frame. Love him or hate him, he lived life as big an opera, and he will never be forgotten.

Video: Rob Ford aria, arranged and written by Topher Mokrzewski, resident conductor with the Calgary Opera. Alex Beley and Tyler Fitzgerald sing as the Ford Nation Chorus.
