Toronto Symphony Orchestra | Kimiko’s Pearl and Romantic Treasures

Join Gustavo Gimeno and your TSO for an inspiring program of legends and love. The World Première of Canadian composer Kevin Lau’s Kimiko’s Pearl Symphonic Suite draws from the powerful ballet about hope, resilience, and transformation. Then, Saint-Saëns’s beloved Cello Concerto No. 1, a masterpiece of romantic lyricism and virtuosity, is brought to life by cellist Kian Soltani. The evening concludes with Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé Suite No. 2, a lush and rhapsodic depiction of mythical love.
