Soprano Sara Schabas and pianist Isabelle David present in a dark blue night: From Vienna to New York City in a free noon-hour concert. The program includes the Canadian premiere of Pulitzer-nominated composer Alex Weiser’s in a dark blue night, which sets Yiddish poetry by NYC immigrants to music, and the work of Viennese composers who left Europe after the rise of the Nazis in Europe. Both artists are members of Barbara Hannigan’s Equilibrium Young Artists program.
