The Royal Conservatory of Music | Punch Brothers (sold out)
December 18, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$40
“Punch Brothers take bluegrass to its next evolutionary stage, drawing equal inspiration from the brain and the heart.” (Washington Post) Band members Chris Thile (mandolin), Gabe Witcher (fiddle/violin), Noam Pikelny (banjo), Chris Eldridge (guitar), and Paul Kowert (bass), released their latest album, Hell on Church Street, in January 2022. Hell on Church Street is a re-imagining of Tony Rice’s 1983 album Church Street Blues, a solo folk reinterpretation of classic songs. The Punch Brothers say that “no record (or musician) has had a greater impact on us, and we felt compelled to cover it in its entirety, with the objective of interacting with it in the same spirit of respect-fueled adventure that Tony brought to each of its pre-existing songs.”
