Royal Conservatory | ARC Ensemble presents the works of Dmitri Klebanov
November 17, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
FreeThe Ukrainian-Jewish composer, Dmitri Klebanov, was one of communism’s many casualties. Three-time Grammy nominated ARC Ensemble (Artists of The Royal Conservatory) continues its research and recovery of music that was suppressed and marginalized under the 20th century’s repressive regimes. For this concert, ARC revives Klebanov’s vivacious String Quartet No. 4, a stunning Piano Trio performed by Rebanks Fellow Kevin Ahfat, and a group of extraordinary songs performed by guest mezzo-soprano, Olenka Slywynska.
Free tickets will be available starting Fri. Nov. 8.
