Special guest Jeffrey Beecher will perform on the final piece in the program, Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat Major, op. 73 (“Emperor”).
A rare performance of a chamber version of Beethoven’s “Emperor” concerto alongside two of his biggest hits!
“The Rolston String Quartet performed with a maturity and cohesion rivalling the best string quartets in the world.” (Ludwig Van) In 2018, the Quartet was the first international ensemble chosen for the prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award from Chamber Music America. In 2016, they won First Prize at the Banff International String Quartet Competition, Grand Prize at the 31st Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition, and Astral’s National Auditions.
