Ottawa Chamberfest | Beth Silver & Jenna Richards: The Last of the Romantics

Chamberfest regulars Beth Silver (cello) and Jenna Richards (piano) are known for their characterful delivery and non-traditional programs. “The Last of the Romantics” explores melancholic, sensuous, ethereal, and evocative pieces from Boulanger to Chopin to Villa-Lobos as well as a glimpse at traditional Klezmer tunes. As is typical of the duo, not only will you hear scores initially written for the cello, but also many works stolen from the art song repertoire, including selections from the Ukrainian Art Song Project.
