A lively dance show marks the 30th anniversary of Little Pear Garden Dance Company, with a performance that celebrates three decades of artistry and skill. From classical to contemporary, the show reflects the diversity and excellence of the troupe in a joyful tribute to the dedication and passion that have defined the company’s remarkable journey in the world of dance.
The program includes the company’s original works:
- Tales of Goddess and a Painter, based on traditional dances from the Silk Road region;
- Chinese Opera Rainbow Pass, based on traditional Chinese opera;
- Nine-Tailed Fox, a world premiere based on a tale from Chinese folklore, and created by a collective of talented female Chinese Canadian artists, led by Artistic Director Emily Cheung, with music composed by Alice Ping Yee Ho and narratively shaped by Diana Tso.
