The Glenn Gould Foundation | James Rhodes The Beethoven Revolution
March 5, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
$35.00
James Rhodes has played the world’s most prestigious venues in the UK, Europe, Asia, and South America. He has released seven albums, all of which topped the iTunes classical charts, and authored four books, including the newly released Playlist, a Millennial-friendly intro to classical composers. His best-selling memoir Instrumental, a brutally honest, moving, and compelling story, was almost banned until the UK Supreme Court allowed its 2015 publication (soon to be a major motion picture starring Andrew Garfield).
A passionate champion for classical music, James has made TV programs for BBC, Sky, and Channel 4, including James Rhodes: Piano Man, Notes from The Inside, and Don’t Stop the Music, which raised over £1 million for instruments for UK primary schools.
Program includes:
Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 15 in D Minor, op. 28 (“Pastoral”)
Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 27 in E Minor, op. 90
Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 21 in C Major, op. 53 (“Waldstein”)
