Bound for Banff Benefit Concert
June 19 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
$40
Maeve Palmer (soprano), Hillary Tufford (mezzo-soprano), and Christian Matta (Tenor) are excited to be going to The Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity to participate in the prestigious “Interplay” workshop, designed for professional artists across disciplines, to explore and develop new chamber works. They will be working on The Handmaid’s Tale (Ruders/Bentley), works by Canadian composer Al-Zand and a reimagining of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion. Unfortunately, this workshop is no longer fully funded for the singing artists. The artists have organized a benefit concert, “Bound for Banff,” to help raise some funds for their residency. The program will feature operatic favorites, including arias, duets, and trios, and and they will be joined at the piano by, Helen Becqué.
Enjoy some beautiful music, have a cup of tea or coffee, and help support up and coming Canadian talent!
Note: Tickets are $40 or PWYC, with donations welcomed. Please pay at the door in cash.
