Drawing on La Fontaine’s collection of fables, Faenza revels in tracing animal steps in a safari of French music. The fables are meticulously chosen in the spirit of Mr. de La Fontaine, with music by Marin Marais, François Campion, Nicolas de Chédeville, Ennemond Gautier, François Couperin, Jacques-Martin Hotteterre, and the Manuscrit Boerez.
