Adi Braun and her Quartet Noir explore the dark music of the Film Noir era through songs and talk. The show includes classics from the mid-20th century. Toronto-born Adi Braun grew up in Europe. Her parents were opera singers, and brother Russell Braun is one of Canada’s most celebrated baritones. After studying piano at the Royal Conservatory and University of Toronto Faculty of Music, she began a career in the world of classical music as a recitalist and performer. Gradually, she came to gravitate towards the world of cabaret and film music.
