The Oakville Choral Society will present a concert titled The Romantic Piano, featuring Anne Marie Leonard. The performance will serve as a benefit concert for the Choral Society and their concert and educational programming.

On the program are pieces by Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin and other composers in a romantic vein.

Ann Marie Leonard, Piano

Anne Marie Leonard is a busy performer, teacher, and music coach. After studies at the The Royal Conservatory of Music, she launched a career as professional pianist. She has performed as a soloist and part of a duo at major hotels and clubs in the GTA, including recitals at the Royal Conservatory, Heintzmann House, and The Canadian National Exhibition.

At the inauguration of the new Mississauga Civic Centre in 1987, she performed a concert of classical repertoire at a luncheon for Andrew and Sarah, then The Duke and Duchess of York.

In addition to her work as a performer, Anne Marie has directed and performed in musical theatre productions in the GTA.

Along with her work as an accompanist for the Oakville Choral Society, she is Director of Music Ministry as choral director, organist and pianist at St. Thomas à Becket Anglican Church in Mississauga, and often serves as an instrumental, vocal and choral accompanist for The Royal Conservatory of Music exams.
