WHO’S WHO | Toronto Mendelssohn Choir Welcomes Six Rising Conductors To Take The Podium

UPDATE FROM THE TORONTO MENDELSSOHN CHOIR

Join the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir for its 15th annual Choral Conducting Symposium concert. Six up-and-coming conductors will take the podium after completing a series of masterclasses under the leadership of Artistic Director and Conductor Jean-Sébastien Vallée.

The six conductors will showcase their work as they conduct the 160 voices of the TMChoir, including the 24-voice professional ensemble, the TMSingers, for this final performance.

The program includes Gabriel Fauré’s RequiemFrank Martin’s Mass for Double Choir, works by Lili Boulanger and Mel Bonis, a commission by TMChoir composer-in-residence Tracy Wong and winner of the 2024 Debbie Fleming prize for the Choral Composition Competition Justin Lapierre’s Lux Aeterna.

Free tickets to attend in-person will be available online and at the door.
