Luciano Pavarotti is remembered as one of the greatest tenors of the 20th-century, but he also had an incredible sense of humour. Case in point is this video clip of a Masterclass Concert where he tactfully answers questions from the audience. One such question opens a floodgate of humbling career moments, including a story involving an iron-reinforced chair, and an early curtain call involving him still in his underwear. It ends with the funniest moment of all – but we won’t dare spoil it by telling you. Just watch.
