Soon you too can smell like a piano virtuoso, when Lang Lang releases his own range of perfume in the fall.

The piano star will début his European fragrance in September in collaboration with Firmenich – a French distribution company responsible for scents from Armani and Dior.

In a tweet last week Lang Lang stated, “Very excited to announce the launch of my first fragrance!! Will sell in Europe in the fall and China next year. :)”

Lang Lang’s fragrance will include elements of jasmine, kyara wood, pink and black pepper, kumquat, bergamotte, gardenia, lavender, cedar wood, vetiver, patchouli and musk.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, he explained his love for perfumes, and that he never has time to wash his suits. “When I’m travelling, sometimes the smell isn’t very pleasant. And when I’m on stage, I don’t only want to smell the piano. Sometimes, when they tune a piano, you smell this oil, or a glue kind of smell. It’s weird.”

This is not the first time Lang Lang has lent his name to a product – he has also secured endorsements deals with Volkswagen, Allianz, Telefonica, Bombardier and China Merchants Bank.

I wonder how he will describe its high notes and its low notes…
