Toronto Chamber Choir | Kaffeemusik: Mary, the Rose
December 18, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
$12.50
What is it about the Blessed Virgin that has inspired some of the most endearing music ever written? Indeed, composers from every era seem to bring their very best game when setting texts about the immaculate “rose without thorns.” In this heartfelt Kaffeemusik, the TCC presents its favourite Marian music from long ago juxtaposed with some more recent works for choir and harp: excerpts from Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, and Andrew Donaldson’s Mary, the Rose.
Julia Seager Scott, harp
