Generations of children of all ages have enjoyed, The Snowman,*a wintertime classic animated film with a magical score by Howard Blake.
Toronto-based composer Ron Royer’s A Canadian Christmas Fantasia premiered in 2016, and has quickly become a popular seasonal work for orchestras all over North America.
Winner of the 2018 Marta Hidy prize for violin, Julia Mirzoev, will make her Orchestra Toronto debut, performing her chosen concerto.
The Long&McQuade Instrument Petting Zoo will visit, allowing audience members to get up close and personal with their favourite musical instruments during intermission.
