Britten’s opera gets an Opera 5 treatment, featuring an all-Canadian cast that includes interns from Opera McGill for one performance (see ticket link). Amanda Smith directs, with music director Evan Mitchell. The cast includes Ryan McDonald as Miles, Asitha Tennekoon as Prologue/Peter Quint, Krisztina Szabó as Mrs. Grose, Thera Barclay as Flora, Elizabeth Polese as the Governoess, and Rachel Krehm as Miss Jessel.
Anya Wassenberg is the Toronto City Editor at Ludwig Van. Previously, she was a freelance writer with a specialty in culture and travel for three decades, and a creative writing instructor for Ontariolearn.
