Dramatic soprano Marjorie Owens (title role in the COC’s Turandot) has been praised for her “star quality and strong dramatic presence” (Opera News). Joined by Michael Shannon on piano, she demonstrates the full range of her “voice of silken softness as well as laser-focused volume” (Washington Classical Review) in a recital of song that includes the heroic and unmistakable music of Richard Strauss.
