Soundtrack to the Ford civic farce: Montreal composer Ana Sokolovic's Nonet

By John Terauds on November 5, 2013

robMany of us have been laughing at our misfortune of being Torontonians over the last few days by picking out relevant monologues by Falstaff in three Shakespeare plays. But what about a soundtrack?

I suggest Nonet, by Montreal composer Ana Sokolovic. It’s a fine, 21st century art music depiction of dancing, evasion, flight, fright and prevarication, through three violins, two violas, two cellos, contrabass, piano.

So, as you follow your favourite Twitter feed, feast your ears on this clip, posted by Soundstreams as part of its ongoing effort to provide public access to its huge archives of new music performances and premieres.

Any other suggestions?
