Video: A Harry Potter slant from Sneak Peek Orchestra's wonder composer Kevin Lau

Coming soon in this space is an interview with Toronto composer Kevin Lau, co-founder of the Sneak Peek Orchestra, which has a show coming up on Feb. 4.

Tomorrow evening, cellist Rachel Mercer is playing Starsail, a Lau piece from 2008, at Walter Hall, with pianist Angela Park (details of the free recital here).

As a lively interlude for a particularly grey and wet Toronto day, here is Lau with Sneak Peek Orchestra co-founder Victor Cheng, performing Lau’s own excellent arrangement of themes from the Harry Potter movies (Lau is on Piano II):
