THE SCOOP | Fans Tasked With Singing ‘O Canada’ At Raptors Game Tonight

In a move befitting of the country that invented basketball, (that’s right, basketball was invented by a Canadian), fans alone will be in charge of singing the “O Canada” tonight at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

The NBA made the call after Game 2 of the NBA Finals, where fans surprised everyone by taking over the singing of the national anthem from Grammy award-winning artist Alessia Cara.

The US anthem will be sung by “Monica” Denise Brown.

Win or lose, history will be made tonight.

In the meantime, we’ll leave you with the Toronto Symphony’s musical ode to the Raptors: a mashup Drake’s “All Me” & “Trophies.”
