The Kindred Spirits Orchestra Young Artists mentoring program is looking for talented young musicians for their tuition-free learning experience. Student musicians ages 18 years and younger are invited to apply.
The goal of the program is to help younger artists develop advanced technical and artistic skills. They’ll gain experience as they gain skills rehearsing and performing alongside professional musicians of the KSO.
Perhaps best of all, they’ll be able to put all their work into a performance in a live concert hall setting.
For high school students, there’s another perk: the hours spent with KSO qualify as community volunteer hours that are required to graduate.
Previous participants talk about their experiences:
The 2023/24 season’s cohort included: Angela Wang (Markham), Sophia Wang (Richmond Hill), Selena Zhang (Richmond Hill), Brian Lo (Markham), Veronika Kolarska (Toronto), Samir Ahmadi (Markham), Ruoyi Qiao (Toronto), Theodora Chung (Markham), Tiffany Feng (Markham), Angel Jiang (Richmond Hill).
