The Elora Festival has announced the lineup for their 45th iteration, to take place from July 5 to 20, 2024. Led by Artistic Director Mark Vuorinen, the Elora Festival will feature more than 20 events spread over three weekends.

The village of Elora, known for its picturesque 19th century limestone streetscape and the river-fed Elora Gorge, is located about 115km northeast of Toronto.

“Beautiful music abounds at the Elora Festival with performances from guest artists Constantinople, The King’s Singers, the Gryphon Trio and more. And at the centre of the festival is the home town band, The Elora Singers. We look forward to welcoming you to more than twenty concerts at this year’s Elora Festival,” comments Artistic Director Mark Vuorinen in a release.

The Music in the Village series in the Village Green Space, free of charge, opens on July 5 with a performance by the University of Waterloo Balinese Gamelan Ensemble.

Festival Closing: July 20

Both the Elora Festival and Festival of the Sound (Parry Sound) both celebrate their 45th seasons in 2024, and what better way to send it off than with a joint birthday party and a spectacular performance of Carmina Burana featuring soloists Leslie Fagan, Andrew Haji and Russell Braun, piano duo James Anagnoson and Leslie Kinton, percussionists led by Bevereley Johnston, the Elmer Iseler Singers and the Elora Singers.

The concert will be repeated at Parry Sound’s Festival of the Sound the next day, on July 21.
