The Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory is one of 12 music education institutions from across the world invited to take part in the new Sir Elton John Global Exchange Program, which was announced today by the Royal Academy of Music and sponsored by Sir Elton John.
“My passion is to help nurture the next generation of global artists. Music can and should transcend borders, and I am delighted to be supporting a scheme which offers high-level, tangible opportunities to talented young musicians coming together from many different countries,” said Sir Elton John, in a release.
The Royal Academy of Music (RAM) in London, England, devised the initiative, which will go live in September 2022 and allow students from top music schools throughout the world to participate in educational exchanges with the Academy.

This program will foster a global perspective and change the lives of many young artists, to whom we look to extend the frontiers of our art form. The Royal Conservatory is honoured to be among this group of exceptional schools of music and part of this global network.”

Up to 20 participants will be selected for the program each year. Each will work on short collaborative projects and receive a year of tuition at their host institution.
