THE SCOOP | The National Ballet Moves Back To Live Performances

With the lifting of capacity limits comes the wave of press releases being rushed out by frazzled communications staff joyfully announcing the return to pre-lockdown in-person normalcy.

It’s news we at LV never get tired of hearing.

The National Ballet of Canada has confirmed they will be returning to live performances for the 2021/22 Season.

The season opens November 11 – 27, 2021, at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts with Angels’ Atlas & Serenade.

In other news…

… The National ballet also announced the principal casting for opening night.

On opening night, featured roles in Angels’ Atlas will be performed by Principal Dancers Harrison JamesHeather Ogden and Siphesihle November, First Soloists Spencer HackJenna Savella and Donald Thom, and Second Soloists Hannah Galway and Genevieve Penn Nabity.

The opening night cast of Serenade will feature Principal Dancers Guillaume CôtéJurgita DroninaSonia Rodriguez and Piotr Stanczyk, First Soloists Jeannine HallerTanya Howard and Calley Skalnik, Second Soloist Hannah Galway and Corps de Ballet member Selene Guerrero-Trujillo.
