LISZTS | A Gift Guide For Classical Music Nerds

Are you buying for a picky music nerd like me? Let me help.

I’m one of those guys who is really hard to shop for. Ask my friends and family, and they’ll all groan in agreement. I like unique stuff and usually just buy it for myself. No fun right? I also tend to like things that are hard to find, which isn’t exactly realistic for busy gift buyers during the holidays.

This season I’ve made my annual list, which I don’t usually share with anyone. It’s more of an exercise in keeping some things I think are neato. I don’t expect anyone to actually buy any of them for me. Really, don’t. Like some guys, a good pair of socks and a coffee mug with something ridiculous written on it makes my heart melt with the holiday spirit.

So for those dealing with picky music nerds in their lives, this list should help you out.

$749. These crazy new headphones don’t actually play music. Instead, they zap your brain using special ‘neurostimulators’ to help musicians learn music up to 30% faster. And they work because, science.

$289. But Vinyl is better, and this one sounds great.

$81. Why is this LP always so expensive?

$550. Kobe Bryant’s shoe design inspired by his favourite composer. Just take my money.

$30. If you can find them, I want them.

$12.95. A music critic’s preferred choice.

$90.64. A scandalous gem.

$11.99. I can’t find one for the life of me, but I want it.

$24.95. You can’t put a price on sleep.
