In honour of the TSO’s upcoming tribute to composer Danny Elfman this weekend, we give you a taste of the 2016 Presidential detail, scored by the master Hollywood score composer himself.
A fan of horror movies, Elfman watched the debate and couldn’t help but notice how menacing Trump looked as he was seen wandering around the room while Hillary Clinton spoke.
“Watching Trump lurching behind Hillary during the debate felt a bit like a zombie movie. Like at any moment he was going to attack her, rip off her head, and eat her brains,” he said to Funny or Die.
Titled “Trump Stalks Hillary,” the music swells with suspense as Trump is seen prowling behind an unsuspecting Hillary Clinton during the second presidential debate. The strings screech and voices loom, transforming the debate into a full-on horror flick.
For fans of Elfman, The TSO will be performing selections of Elfman’s scores brought to life on stage by orchestra and choir. The concert will be enhanced by the visuals of Tim Burton’s original sketches, drawings, story boards, and film clips rendered on the big screen.
