After the terrible travel incident between violinist Itzhak Perlman and Toronto’s Pearson airport last Monday, it is nice to round off the story (and the city) in a much more positive light.

Violinist Lara St John and her tapping friend have released a very charming video shot at various locations around Toronto. In the video, St John  plays the Presto from Bach’s Sonata no. 1 in G-minor, while Cadman performs a tap dance to accompany the music.

While filming they enchanted unsuspecting audiences on the subway, the CN Tower elevator and downtown office complexes.

In true big city fashion, the pair was kicked out of Union Station by security guards, and were given the stink-eye from a nearby busker that they later warmed over by offering some coinage.

St John told CBC Music:

“Mostly, everyone thinks it’s pretty cool when a gorgeous dancing girl is doing fancy and evidently perfect footwork to Bach. I mean, how could one not?”

The duo have also done videos of Bach’s Partita No. 2 and No. 3.
