Musideum: Toronto’s busiest concert venue?

musideum

Donald Quan’s cabinet of musical curiosities, known as Musideum, hosts a staggering number of concerts. There are only three nights in all of November when there isn’t a world, jazz, experimental or classical performance on.

That must make it the city’s busiest live-music venue.

Located in the artist-loft/gallery building at 401 Richmond St W., Musideum is part store, part community space and part concert space.

Next up in the concert space, on Oct. 30, are trumpeter David Buchbinder and pianist Dave Restivo. They come from vastly different backgrounds, and are aiming to create something fresh and multidisciplinary centred on “the sonic world of Love, Death, Rebirth and Sound as a transformative force, all leavened with a fair bit of humour and irreverence.”
