Baroque composers believed so and strove to excite the passions of the soul through their works.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cperpetually fabulous\u201d (Boston Globe) Canadian violinist Aisslinn Nosky returns to direct a program revealing the peaks and valleys of the human emotional landscape\u2014from the wistful yearning of Locatelli\u2019s Concerto grosso in C Minor to the buoyant cheer of Telemann\u2019s Orchestral Suite in B-flat Major.<\/p>\n<p>Vivaldi conjures up phantoms and dreamscapes in his evocative Concerto for bassoon \u201cLa Notte\u201d (The Night), featuring Tafelmusik\u2019s own Dominic Teresi, and a bold Overture by Fasch contrasts with a radiant Chaconne celebrating love from Marais\u2019 Alcyone.<\/p>\n<p>The grand finale of our journey through the gamut of baroque passions? Bach\u2019s masterful Concerto for 2 violins in D Minor featuring Aisslinn Nosky and one of Tafelmusik\u2019s newest core members, Johanna Novom, as soloists.
