At their Chamberfest debut, Skye Consort & Emma Bj\u00f6rling will perform their \u201ctrans-Atlantic chamber folk\u201d with arrangements of songs and tunes from Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Scotland, England, Qu\u00e9bec, Acadia, and the USA, bringing old stories, melodies, and themes back to life in a contemporary musical setting.<\/p>\n

Emma Bj\u00f6rling, award-winning Swedish singer, composer, and arranger, met Alex Kehler (fiddle, nyckelharpa), Amanda Keesmaat (cello), and Se\u00e1n Dagher (cittern\/bouzouki, banjo) during a La Nef project in Montr\u00e9al in October 2017 and \u201cthanks to\u201d Emma\u2019s cancelled flight and their mutual love for each other\u2019s celebrated musicianship, the Skye Consort & Emma Bj\u00f6rling partnership was born.<\/p>\n
