Connecting East and West, with Persia and the Ottoman Empire on one side and Renaissance Italy on the other, the programme draws musical works from 16th- and 17th-century manuscripts found in the national libraries of Istanbul and Florence.<\/p>\n<p>Constantinople aims to encourage cross-cultural music making and exchanges among artists from around the world. Since its founding, the ensemble promotes the creation of new works that include musical elements of diverse musical traditions.
