Grammy Award winner, Puerto Rico-born artist Ana Mar\u00eda Mart\u00ednez is considered one of the foremost sopranos of her time. She enjoys a thriving international career that spans the world\u2019s most important opera houses and concert halls. A winner of the fifteenth Annual Opera News Awards, her repertoire encompasses opera\u2019s most intriguing heroines.<\/p>\n
Mart\u00ednez sings in a fiery recital of Spanish-language songs which she interprets with unsurpassed insight. She will be joined by acclaimed pianist Craig Terry in this mixed program recital that includes selections by such composers as de Falla, Rodrigo, Turina and Carlos Gardel, father of the tango. With hidden gems of the repertoire along with haunting melodies that you\u2019re sure to recognize such as the most familiar of all Latin art songs, Manuel Ponce\u2019s \u201cEstrellita\u201d (\u201cThe Little Star\u201d), this is a night to remember.<\/p>\n
