Angel\u00a0<\/em>is a multi-disciplinary storytelling event that explores themes\u00a0of creation, loss of innocence, isolation and redemption through the texts of John Milton’s\u00a0Paradise Lost<\/em>\u00a0and the mystic poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke.

\n<\/em>Marking the culmination of OA\u2019s commission for new music for baroque instruments by Canadian composer Edwin HUIZINGA with Christopher BAGAN\u00a0–\u00a0created over the past 4 years and featured in performances in Toronto, Chicago, and Versailles –\u00a0Angel<\/em>\u00a0will also showcase musical excerpts by Matthew Locke, William Boyce, and Max Richter\u2019s\u00a0Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi\u2019s The Four Seasons*<\/em>.

Angel<\/em>\u00a0is dedicated to the memory of\u00a0Jeanne Lamon<\/strong>, C.M., O. Ont., D. Litt. (1949 – 2021), Tafelmusik\u2019s longtime Music Director and Music Director Emerita, and Opera Atelier\u2019s beloved friend, treasured colleague and collaborator for more than 35 years.
