She marries him with this looming knowledge. Exactly one year into their marriage, she is visited by the God of Death\u2014Yama\u2014who informs her that he has come to claim Satyav\u0101n\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>Satyav\u0101n is suddenly struck down by a deadly illness as Death looms over him, claiming his soul.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of giving into fear and loss, S\u0101vitri engages Death in a dialogue, inviting him into her world.
