The CCSA Symphony Orchestra returns to the Toronto stage after a spectacular appearance in Beijing, performing at the invitation of the Chinese government in the May 2019 International \u201cMeet in Beijing Festival\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Toronto 2020 Spring Gala Concert is one of a series celebrating classical music in both Western and Chinese traditions.\u00a0 Earlier concerts were performed to sold-out audiences in Toronto\u2019s George Weston Recital Hall and Koerner Hall.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This evening features Angel Wang, violinist, the CCSA\u2019s founder and principal artist.\u00a0 In China Angel was a member of the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra and established the \u201cAngel Trio\u201d, performing chamber music throughout the country.\u00a0 In Canada, she is a veteran of both stage and screen, most recently the Concert Master for three of Richard Clayderman\u2019s North American tours.\u00a0 Angel is a faculty member at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.<\/p>\n
Angel is joined this evening by Barry Shiffman, Concert Master, and Claudio Vena, conductor in a programme celebrating the end of winter and awakening of spring in Western and Chinese cultures.<\/p>\n
